Default Congrats to Ward Burton

I'm not really a nascar fan but this is 1 race i make a point to watch. I just wanted to say congrats to Ward Burton for winnnig the 44th Daytona 500.

I didn't see any burnouts or dounuts though my the channel i was watching it on though cut it off before victory lane though to cover olympic curling

its still not the same without the intimidator though

Thumbs down

I took a nap after little girly man - aka Jeff Gordon - aka as the Rainbow Homo wrecked everyone as usual. I'm glad Ward won it instead of sis boy. As you can tell, I really admire Jeffrina - bwahahaha!

If Dale Earnhardt hit someone all the time he was called a dirty driver but when sawed off Opie does it, it's called 'smart racing'

Go figure

Come on, Marty. I'm sick of Gordon too, but that one was entirely Harvicks fault. To tell you the truth, just about every crash that wasn't due to a blow-out was caused by "blocking". Blocking is for pusssies, IMO.

Take care,
-Chris

P.S. It may not have been Jeff, but at least it was a Burton!!! Be happy!!!

All right, Chris.

Harvick was blockin', that's what it's about - that is the reason Dale E is dead now; he was blocking for his boy's. Sissy could have let out of it for a second, but noooo. Back when Earnhardt drove like that he was called a 'dirty driver' but let the Rainbow Homo do it & it's 'good driving strategy'. Yeah, right. My a--- .

Oh yeah, as soon as I get my car situation straight I'll send you the shirt -Gordo Sux - Congrat's to Ward Burton -it should have been Jeff Burton ,Rusty, Rickey Rudd, Mark Martin, etc. Whatever

Boys..Boys..Is mommy gonna have to spank you?

Hey Crazy Horse
I thought about you when Gordon got spun by Marlin...

But for the life of me I still cannot figure out why the stupid *** Marlin got out of his car!!!!! He knows the rules....Got what he deserved...The back of the longest line.

I just got off the phone with a friend of mine that races dirt late models. He keeps Tony Stewarts late model in his stable..both are sponsored by JDByrider. He was with Tony before the race, but left to come home when the race started, so he will talk to Tony and find out what happened to his engine. I said He needs to hire me as his engine builder..snicker snicker

LOVE YOU TOO CHRIS....

He had to. He had nothing to lose, and everything to gain. If he had left it alone, it would have blown in less than a lap, and he might have been a DNF. Bad for points. By trying to pull it out, there was a slight chance he could save it and finish in the top two. Worst case scenario: they foul him and move him to the back. Gee, all the way to 12th place. That gave him the chance to get 4 new tires without losing position, so when it went green, with 4 laps to go, he was in 12th place with 4 fresh tires. That got him an 8th place finish, which is alot better than a DNF.

Cheesy, but actually pretty clever.

Take care,
-Chris

I just talked to the guy that has the GT350 here,he works for Sterling Marlins team and he said the crew chief told him to get out and LOOK at it. When he saw that the fender was into the tire down th the inner lining, he knew he could not win the race, so he did that in purpose to get a penalty so he could come in the pits and get new tires. INTENTIONALLY being the key word here. I guess it was a fairly smart thing to do...and you are right as usual Chris...Better than a DNF!!!!

Default Pickett is avenged!

Nice to see a Virginia boy from South Boston (Virginia, not Taxachusetts) win one!

Actually, 2nd place was a 'Ginny boy also - do I see a trend?

Old George woulda been raht proud to see the 'regment' prevail over them Yankahs.

dani-

Hell no! I hate Gordon! Kinda funny though, both he and Tony used to race Sprints right here at Ventura.

I'd like an autograph (to Peckerwood)

Take care,
-Chris
