|  Cool Sprint Car Crash Pic (part two) This is a picture of VRA Sr. Sprint Car driver John Richards as he was flipping his car this past Saturday night at Ventura Raceway. Aside from the obvious, this picture also shows a great deal of detail of some of the really cool things about Sprint Cars. For example, this one has a dry sump oiling system. There is no oil pump inside the engine, and for that matter, there is hardly any oil, either. It's all kept in the tank you can see just in front of the engine, to it's right side from this view. You can also clearly see that there is no transmission. The driveshaft goes straight from the crank to the quick change rear end, and out through a solid one piece aluminum axle to the rear wheels.
