Default Trading Notch for parts

I had decided to sell my notchback, I dont drive it enough and could use the money for the drag project. A buddy of mine that works at a auto supply store wants to trade the car for parts for my race car. I had decided to seel the car anyway and I would have used the money for parts. He suggested that if we can come up with the parts to equal the same amout I want for the car maybe we could trade. I went to his house last night and we sit down and made a LONG list of the parts I need. It will all be NEW parts, anything from oem stuff to replace different things to full out race gear. What do you guys think. Do you think I should trade, try to get the money. I think Im gonna trade i just want some more input before I do.

Thanks
Brad

Cant make it a poll after Ive posted, or atleast I dont know how to. But I talked to the guy this morning. My list included over 4 grand worth of parts not including what body panels I need. So he is gonna email me the list and prices, then I have to sort through it and decide what parts I need more and first. The price we agreed upon was $1700 dollars, which it doesnt take as long to get as I first thought.

your right about that pony, i spent about 3500 on my 69 grande & still it looked like crap, but boy did it fly, still need's a paint job, my son told me last night, it wont even steer the whole front end need's rebuilt, when i gave it to him it was ok, but i guess 30+ year's made the difference, car's are money pit's, good luck to you , l8ter.
