Day at track

I went to the track today and tried out the nitto drag radials I just bought. I did not like the drag radials for the track. I could not leave hard enough to get them to keep the car from bogging with out it spinning the tires. I did not try very hard though; I only ran them 2 times before I went to the slicks.

I pulled a 1.61 on the slicks today and I got the front tires off the ground, something I have been wanting to be able to do for a while and fianly I did it.

The rear view mirror flew off the window again and this time the radio popped out of the dash.

The bad part is I Can not shift into third at over 4500 rpm’s; I think the syncro is going out.
I still managed to pull a 12.60 @ 107mph Shifting into third at 4500 rpm's instead of 6500 rpm's and still had a little trouble getting it into gear.

I am thinking about doing a T5 to C4 swap and going to 4.10 gears.
