![]() about 5 weeks ago, i bought a 91 bronco 302 efi... motor sounded good, x'cept for, what sounded like a noisey lifter, no big deal...
about a week ago, when I first started it in the morning (after sitting all nite) the engine started knocking. it sound's like it's coming from the bottom end. after it warms up the noise goes away, and it does'nt do it again until the next morning... Engine seems to run good and i don't hear it while i'm driving or sitting at a light..... odometer sez 71,00, and the guy claims that is the correct reading.. motor does'nt appear to leak oil, but i can smell a faint oil odor (on occasion) while waiting at a light.. any ideas??? This truck is going to be my winter driver while the mustang is in storage.. I was thinking about just adding an oil additive, like slick 50 or something, do they really help?? and which would you guys recommend???
