![]() Stick or automatic?
I know I'm probly like the only person here that drives an automatic ![]() I dunno I just dont want to have to think too much when I'm driving. I like to smoke and do other things and not have to constantly be shifting, especially in traffic. |

![]() 5 Speed is the only way to go for me on my Mustang. I like the control, and shifting when I want. I really only drive the car on sunny weekend days anyways, all my work commuting and errans and daily grunt work is done with my 02 Ranger. The Stang is just a sunny day cruising car now, it doesn't see any parking lots or weather.

You really don't need it in a automatic. I had a friend who had a firebird, The car was an automatic, and he manualy shifted. It tore the gear box up. Its really not meant to be used like that, once in a while is fine.

![]() This is just me, but I wouldn't even look at a Mustang with an auto, unless it is in a strip only car. Auto's take all the fun out of driving them. I love to drop to second at 45, chirp the tires and go on to bang third. Maybe it's just me, but I love shifting. I've been able to drive manual since I was 14 so basically I don't even think about shifting anymore. But to each their own, a Mustang with an Auto is still a Mustang, I just hate the parasitic energy they take

![]() My mistake. The Boss 429 is that one that had an optional auto, the Boss 302, like you said, was strictly a 4-speed car.

![]() You should've put a #3 in the poll to be Both.
![]() My street/strip 351W-powered '79 Mustang is an auto (C4). My everyday street 302-powered 92 GT is a manual.
