Angry Do you get flack for racing?

Yesterday i met Xenon5.0 downtown, and we played a bit, i was all smiles
But my girlfriend (i love you dear) was flipping out and yelling at me

It's hard to keep the throttle position constant when i've got ricy Firefly's giving me fly-by's, even more so when another bad-azz Stang give's "the ok"

I hate that crap. If someone doesn't like me racing, I never take them along with me anymore. It ruins my fun and gets on my nerves. I've NEVER told anyone not to race, in fact I highly encourage it hehe

I refer back to my quote in the "Date subject" in FP forum..

"if you don't race that guy, I'm getting out and walking home you wuss..."

Mwahahaha long live racing participants and especially COUPLES!!!! yippee

My girlfriend hates when I race, Especially when shes in the car. Its funny how she kinda scrunches her eyes shut and tenses up when I race, kinda like shes prepping for impact or a moonlanding. Then she'll be mad at me for the rest of the weekend, or week.

SHe hates the fact that I race on Saturday nights, shes so worried that one of these times I wont come back.

I could probably do with out women, but not racing. Have to have my racing.

I hate my wife, she won't even let me go to the race with friends. The only way I can go is if I tell her that I will go buy milk at the store then I skip to the race track.
When I get back home (without the milk) she has this big face and start giving me that crap about "you were racing again..bla..bla..bla.
She even stop me from spending money in mods for my car because she said that the house needs repairs. I whish I could get rid of her..any ideas how?

Dude, then it's just not meant to be.

I couldn't stand anybody telling me not to race, or telling me how to drive no less. I'll do my thing and if ya don't like it, WALK! I like those girls that get a 'special feeling' from a good street race, hehehe.

SUCKER! My girlfriend is like my own cheerleader when I race. She love it when I smoke anything on the road. I have to admit I pick my races when shwe is in the car because there is no need to indangour her life. I play smart when she is in the car (If there is such a thing?)

Hey Rocket I'm from Bethesda. I used to work in the airpark...good ol Gaithersburg

To any of you that have women that complain that you race, they are ungrateful and whiney. Even if you are stuck with them, DON'T YOU DARE!!!!! let them take away the joy you get from racing someone. Such a simple pleasure in life shouldn't be crushed by a dominating...you know what mwahahaha

N...you got a great chick hang on to that one

In my early Street racing days, when I raced around my 64 1/2 with the 289 alot. I dated this Korean Girl that used to be like a cheerleader for racing.

Well, actually she was more of an instigator, she would yell out to the person next to us something like "Hey my boyfriends car will whoop your piece Oh Sh$t." or "Ahg, honey, look, its a slow car". At that point I'd usually rev a few times. Oh man those were the good ol'days. I miss her kinda, well not the fact that she cheated on me with 5 other guys. Thats why shes my X. SHe was a looker though, good god.

My X would always hate when I would race or even talk about racing for that matter. She would always try to talk me out of racing, but the light always turned green in the middle of the sentence and I'd be punching it. Now though my new girl is indifferent about it. She doesn't tell me to stop, but she doesn't encourage either. I got a big drag race coming up at High School Nationals in Norwalk on the 20th and she said she'd come watch, so I guess it is better than nothing.

I like the way you refer to the "64 1/2"

I might try to get my lady out on Friday at the drags

Oh, my! You poor boys, I mean men. It does not bother me when John races.(only if he
loses) I like to do it too. You guys need to get some real women like the ones on here that think it is fun. Of course I use to be one of those "don't race, it's bad"
girls. But then I got a first taste of a little power and well the rest is history.

Race, and if anyone does not like it, they can go away, look away whatever.

Thumbs down

I get crap from people that just HEAR that i race, they don't even see me do it. And i never race with someone else in the car with me. I am a good driver, but it only takes one minute mistake to end up shiny side down, or around a tree. Risking my life is one thing, but i am not prepaired to endanger my friends. That is just me though It looks like i am going to have to move closer to Elisha Light Em Up!

Hiya Tryme. You better put a leash on her before she molds you how she wants you! My girlfriend used to be the same way until i just kept telling her "shut the hell up. If you don't like it, I'll bring you home." After that, she wanted to spend time with me & eventually started coming to the races with me. Now she enjoys it, except for the cold days. If she has to work the next day, she usually stays home You better get to work on her!
