Default Do you think I could make one of these? Or should I just buy one?

I really like this emblem, but the thing costs 80 bucks. I can go down to Wal-Mart, get a couple cans of Krylon for a fraction of that price, and paint the one I got. My question is how hard do you think it would be to paint the stock emblem? Or should I just break down, and buy one?

I'd say go for it. If it tuns out looking throwed, buy one. What do you have to loose besides a couple of bucks worth of paint?

my suggestion to you is to go buy a backup chrome pony, i've seen them for only 30 bucks at some places....paint that up so if you screw up, you can keep your chrome one on and keep your dignity

Wouldn't you have to peel the chrome off of it first?

And I would suggest model paints and an airbrush. You could also match your car color(s) and make your own custome version. I myself just prefer the chrome pony over that one, but to each his own.

Yeah I had the same idea. The car is Laser Red, and I have some touch up paint for it. I thought about doing the flames in Laser Red, and leaving the rest of it chrome.

Im sure you can make it. I would prolly change the color if not the design to have a more personal custom touch

Look carefully at the front grill area... The horse's head MAGICALLY materializes!

Actually, I broke down and bought one...
