![]() Just thought I would introduce myself, I do not yet have a Mustang but have been saving up for one for the past 2 years when I do find one it is going to be a project car I already have a Jap Crap Daily Driver (2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse) But I have wanted a stang since I was old enough to know what cars were. I am looking for a 87-93 stang if anyof you guys have opinions on any of them I am all ears, I am going to be picky when I pick one. I just wanted to say HI to you all.

![]() Hey, what's up. When I first started posting here, I owned a 1990 Dodge Dynasty, lol. So feel free to post away.
The best fox body models(1979-1993) IMO is the 1990-1992. They have the best transmissions, 140 mph speedos, and larger wheel openings(to help clear pony rims), and mass-air meters. 89's are a very close second, with the 87's and 88's trailing a tick behind(Unit's gona have a field day with that comment ![]()

![]() stangfan80:
A slightly belated Hi, and welcome to Mustang Works Online magazine. We have a great site...lots to see...and we're proud of our user-friendly message forums where you can get tech advice (Windsor Power) or just post whatever interests or concern you (right here on the Blue Oval Lounge). If I were buying another 5.0 'Stang today I would seek a '91 or '92 model. All the improvements (transmission, especially) and things like 16" tires and 'Pony' wheels were standard, along with Mass Air and air bags. These would tend to have the lowest mileage, too. Try for a stock Mustang, if possible. Less chance of buying someone else's mistake amd/or headache. Good luck.

![]() Welcome! This is an awesome group of people.
i like the later models 90-95. I have a 90 LX hatch. Which i love! but it is smart to buy stock and build it up yourself so you know what you got and how it went together. I've been dealing with some problems with mine. It was already built up when i bought it and it's hard to diagnose the problem when you don't know all that is in it. Anyway You'll love it when you get it, bone stock or not! thad
