Dont get mad
Dont flame me for mentioning this but............if you absolutely HAD to have a ricer which kind who you have? Just Wondering.
|
Well I would have to say an Nissan Skyline R34 GTR. But you cant get that here sooo... I think I would get a Subaru WRX and buy the STI headlight and bumper conversion. Plus its turbocharged and pretty quick :D
Later, Nick BTW none of these cars are really RICE but i know what ya meant ;) |
300zx or a Supra, or maybe even a Wankel Rex
|
no question...supra
|
*Josh goes into pet peve mode*
The is a BIG difference between a ricer and a import.....big...huge *Josh snaps out of it* Hummmmm......Supra, Skyline, WRX, or a 3000GT VR4. |
RX7 turbo, 300ZX turbo, Supra turbo or even a project like Inferno is working on.. an old crx, what a sleeper that would be:D My top choice would have to be a Supra, I fell in love with that car in 89 and the mid 90s models, with the turbo, are just plain bad.. too bad they cost $45k+.
|
Yea i ment import ya know. there is a difference between the 2. I would probably go with what u guys said. A friend of mine is planning on getting a twin turbo supra when we are old enough to get cars(which is in about a year). I know hes defiantly going to be a match for me if i got a 87-90 gt. But i know cars and especially mustangs very well for my age. I think i could beat him in a street race. What do you all think"?
|
Stock for stock, it would be a really close race. But i doubt you'd leave the GT stock.
Nick- Ever hear of a company called MotoRex? They've been importing Skylines for about five years. Based in Torrance, that's where they came up with the R33 in the F&F. You can get an R34 for about 75k. That's what I'd do if I was getting a Saki bomb. |
RICE BY CHOICE
I THINK I WOULD TAKE A 3000GT W/TURBO,OR TRY BUILDING UP A NEW HYUNDAI TIBURON V 6,STICK SHIFT W/TURBO
|
92 Civic Hatchback!
:: runs away :: |
I wouldn't buy a Japanese sports car....
Now I've got a Mitsu Lancer as a grocery getter. A sports import? hmmm... *cough* Porsche *cough* |
Josh: you reminded me aboutt he 3000GT VR4....needs to be "tricked out a lil yo" but to make it burn out on all 4 would be sweet...i think they look rather sharp tho....and people tend not to rice them...

I think you'd look good behind the wheel of a fart can'd civic belle :) It's you i tell ya..ALL YOU..hehe
|
3000gt hands down, not riced out though, not a bad looking ride, marty duck's from thrown object's:eek: :p :D :D

Hate to be the barer of reality, but a twin turbo Mk IV Supra will annihilate a Fox Mustang 5.0. Even with a small supercharger, the 5.0 would still be in for a run. That and the Supra can very quickly be made into a mid 12 car at over 110mph for cheap.
Bone stock, the Supra is good for a low 13@106ish. LS1's are not unfamiliar with the back end of those Toyota's. Now if you're talking a street race, who knows what the end will look like. I suppose it's possible you could get a freaky Fox like mine, but normally don't expect better than a low/mid 14 stock with good driving. If I was going to buy an Japanese import, it would be a 300ZX TT or a WRX. Too get a nearly 4000lb Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 to spin all 4 wheels would take a hell of a launch, and a lot more power. Then it takes a lot of praying that the driveline doesn't blow. It's not exactly the strongest setup in the world. |
Newer Supras
3000GT's 300ZX's sweet cars IMO |
I forgot about the Turbo FD RX7's :D Sweet cars.
Yeah Deuce I know you can import Skylines. I just wasnt sure if that counted hehe. God if I had the money where I would go... The R33's arent too shabby either :) Later, Nick |
Supra
|
I'd go for a Supra, or a Skyline. I like the 300ZX. I don't mind imports, just the riced out ones.
§am. |
To me you'd have to clarify your question. A ricer to me is any car with a bunch of "all show no good" mods. So I would probably get a new mustang with a body kit and exhaust.
As far is just plain imports, I would agree with Hammer, Porsche all the way a 911 Turbo kicks a**! |

Or a 959. I'm a closet Porscheophile. Can you tell? |
Well I'd have to go with that 72 Datsun 240 Z that Deuce just got rid of. Just add a blown and stroked small block 400 an that'll do the trick for me!
|
I would have to say a Civic SiR, round about '99. They can easily be made into a fast car, and they are moderately priced. I would have to stear clear of the all the stupid looking chit, and have it all go and no show, as stock looking as can be.
|
I'd get a w.r.x for the awd launch and a supra for the ls1 killing topend.

I wouldn't mind a porsche but I've always wanted a Mercedes vert, a 600sl will work just fine. I wouldn't have a 3000GT, they are pigs. I liked them when they first came out though. Foxbodied, if your friend is getting a 93+ TT Supra and you a stock gt... no contest(with equal drivers), he will leave you and fast. But with the savings over the Supra you should be able to mod it to smoke him. |
