E.T. ESTIMATES
I know its not a stang but its stang powered. So thats ok right. I am building a 85 model ranger with the 306 and t-5 out of ny wrecked stang. I was told it won't run but a mid 12 in the 1/8th. Bullshit. I can pedal faster than that. I dont know the weight dif. but cant imagine it will be that much to slow it down that bad.
I will be running 12 inch slicks and 4.10 3.73 gears posi. Any idea of how fast it will be. I have no idea. ------------------ '93 lx 4 banger, wrecked '90 lx 5.0, w/ t-5. .030 over fully ported and polihed (did that just to see if I could-first attempt at it). Motor and tranny in use for Ranger project. Cocked, locked and ready to rock Pony Power Forever |

12's.....1/8th mile.....what loser told you that?
I'd expect atleast 9.4's or better. And that's without slicks. With slicks, and 4.10 gear......8.7@88mph. What do I win if I'm dead on?!? ------------------ The Black Mamba 11.2@124 1994 Cobra '00 Focus ZTS- K&N drop in. 10.66@66mph 1/8mile |

If you are dead on you win the first ride. Is that a good time. I dont know, The only drag racing i'm used to is pro(I'm Not one) but I love to go and watch. I dont go to some of the more local tracks and watch, I guess I should start. I would be happy with a 9.4, what kind of 60 foot time is that? I would love a 8.7 thats fast for a truck I do know that.

Is there that much difference in the 3:73's and 4:10's. I want to mainly drive this truck on the street but occasionaly visit the track. Gas milage isn't a concern but I don't want it geared so low its turning 5 grand running at highway speeds. Also whats a save width for wheels/tires in the front? I want the fat meats in the back and the skinny look up front but I WILL NOT COMPRIMISE SAFETY. Any body know where to get a good ladder bar setup, I checked Chassis Engineering and I like there components but would like to save a little more money.
