Exclamation Fast and the Furious Part II

I was playing poker with some friends of mine last Friday, and found out some insider information about F&F2. Yep, they made a second one, and personally I couldn't get enough of the first one.

One of the guys works for Mitsubishi, and actually drew the current Eclipse. Say what you will about imports, but I might work for them, if I can't land a job with Ford of course *cough, hint hint, cough*

Turns out Mitsu cut some kind of deal with the producers, and the 'bad' guy will be driving an Eclipse Spyder, and the 'good' guys will be driving EVO 8's.

I bring this up because the EVO 8 is a sweet car. AWD turbo, makes about 250bhp. It is based on the Lancer, and herein lies the problem. You can get a Lancer that looks like the EVO (ie the OZ rally edition) without the go-fast parts.

Every dumb rice kid that now drives a no performace backed kit/stickered Civic, will trade them in on a lancer. But just like 10% actually have a Vtec, about as many will pony up for the EVO and real hp. So when the movie comes out, sit back, grab a cold one and watch the newest ricer fad come out in full force.

But remember, you heard it here first, Lancer sales will go through the roof. Probably the yellow ones too.

Mitsubishi Motors is traded on the Tokyo exchange and the Munich exchange. I don't know anything about trading on either of these, so I can't be much help. Seems like too many variables at this point though. Dollar v. Yen and increase of value. Maybe just short the DOW cuz it will go back down.

That is a good prediction there man. lol. i will admit though a Lancer Evo 8 is a sweet car. the Japanese versions have the same AWD and have 276hp and run 13 flats all day. Sweet cars IMO. Im still crossing my fingers that they will put a couple muscle cars in there too because im sure theyve taken heat for that but who knows.

Later,
Nick

I'm sure they will. Then they'll have them lose races to a Civic and a 4 door Corolla.

Take care,
~Chris

i wonder if they'll have that special 7-speed gearbox like they did in that green eclipse, if you listen to it, he shifts into 7th gear.

they need some real cars in the second one, but i heard it was gonna be based on a skyline or something along those lines.

They had the 69 Charger and that was way cool now they need to put a Dayton or Super Bird in this one! That would rock!

A Super Bee, Hemi Cuda, or a blown tubbed 66 SS Nova with a 12 point would be cool. Or how about going old school and smackn' that arse with a big block Pinto. Oh well we can only hope ta see any of these cars in a drag race ( in a real time 1/4 mile run ) with the rice But it will never happen . That just wouldn't be long enugh for the diamont plate floor board to fall apart. Hey the big bad *** cars cant win in real life and T.V. too.
