Talking FINALLY!! Ran the stang at Rockingham Friday night!!

Oh my goodness!!! Is all i got to say!! First pass off the trailer 7.20 195!!!!! I about fell out of my rocker on this one. Ok, went back to the pits, checked the plugs, everything looked ok. So I changed my convertor out to a looser one. Second pass, did a HUGE burnout hoping to get the tires a little warmer than previous. Staged, launched, and bam it was on the wheelie bars for the first 60 ft or so, then came down hard and hooked like crazy. End result?? are you ready for this?? 7.15 194mph, mph slowed down by 1 mph but i think that was because of all the time she was in the air But needless to say, I am extremely happy with the car. I Can't wait for Maple Grove!!

Eric

Thanks guys, yeah Billy can build some mean motors Oldguy, thanks for tellin everyone about the car..I've put it on a chassis dyno before it made over 1,700hp+ to the rear wheels on both stages!! The car weights 2,450 with me in it. It's a tube frame car, built just like a pro stocker. I'll probably run it in about two more weeks just to get it dialed in some more. I think it will go 7 flat at around 200mph when I get the chassis and everything else tuned in right..I"ll let ya know.

Hey Mike, I'll be down there, but I'm not taking the car. Maybe, we can set up a meeting place and watch the races together?? Let me know.

Wow, that's great, especially for right off the trailer!

How were your 60' & 1/8 mile times on those passes?
(I'm guessing the 60ft to be in the 1.1X range.)

What size & brand of tires are on the back? 15x33.5 or 17x34 steamrollers?

Stangrrr, yeah it was a good pass for right off the trailer. My tires are Mickey Thompson ET Drags 33 * 17.0. My sixty foot was a 1.08 on first pass, 1.10 second. Eight mile times were in the 4.6 range.
