Very Nice! I got mine in hibernation since I bought it in October well it's being restored and has no seats or I can't even really move it to much. I'd go out once or twice a week and go start it, I rolled it down the driveway to show my friend and put down rubber in the driveway trying to get it back up so my parents were alittle pissed so it just sits there and rumbles. =) But I know the feeling. I can't wait tell Spring either, I am getting it painted in the spring then I hope to have it back mid summer. What year and model stang you got?

Take Care,

Hey man, I definitely know how that feels! Saturday was the first day since August 8th that I've driven my Stang. It was an awesome feeling!

Why can't you take her for a spin? Bad weather?

1969mach1: its a 90 GT. (25th)

6t9pony: i cant take it for a ride because they already started throwing salt around and i cant do that to my mustang! its in perfect condition and would hate for it to start looking bad.

just bough it off a guy that used to use it as a show car.

i really even hate driving it in the rain (no traction and rust).

take care guys,
adam

I know how that is man. I used to drive my '69 Coupe as a daily driver. It saw rain, little snow, anything and everything. It was horrible on snow though with her 295/50 rear tires, so I didn't drive it much on the snow. I thought that cars were for driving, and I wanted to drive it. But now I have a Nissan pickup that I will drive when my fastback is finished, and the girl will see nothing but dry, clean, and perfect roads! And the drag strip.

Very Nice, yeh my car won't see rain or snow or anything. Although it sat outside when I bought it. But she is inside where it's nice and safe.

6T9PONY: well not exactly but definatly not like some of the crazy combos some of the people on here have.

lets see:

2 chamber flows, no cats (no smog pump stuff), shorties

cobra intake, k&n, bumped timing, 180 deg stat, accell ignition,

tri-ax, full subframe, boxed LCA & UPA, 3.73's, built T-5,
pony's with 245-50's

thats what i can think of now.....

i do need help though,
i dont know what to do next?????
give me some suggestions if you have any.

thanks
adam

Are you thinking major mod? Like nitrous? Intake/cam/heads? Need some more information about what you want!

well im looking to get just a little more out of it, i want it to be able to take most of the street driven cars out there (camaro/ firebird etc.) i do not want to inhibit drivability at all though.

one thing i didnt mention as i just read my post from before is when i did the cobra intake i didnt do anything to the MAF or the TB so they are definatly on my list so consider that done!

im not sure if i want to go to nitrous, in a way i almost find it "cheating". i want to be ALL MOTOR.

and i dont want a blower because i will never have themoney so....

some more litle things that make a difference would be great.

i have in mind:
pulleys
long tubes
performance shocks

and anything else you would suggest.

DemonGT: i know that feeling, im in the same boat. it didnt snow here untill christmas day. but just know that your mustang didnt see all that rain (if you had as much as i did) in the mean time

thanks
adam

I wouldn't worry about putting long tubes on your car yet. It's probably not worth it quite yet. Definitely do the MAF and TB like you said you were going to. Pulleys are a good idea. I'd do that.

You idea about starting on your suspension is a good one. Get some good shocks for drag racing and maybe some control arms.

I agree with you about nitrous being like cheating. I don't think it's really fair that at the flip of a switch you instantly make that much more power. I don't really see a blower or a turbo cheating, because it's always there. But like I said in my User's Ride section, Nitrous is for cheaters.
