First Production year of the new Lightnings?

As the title says, what is the first production year of the newer Lightnings? While we are talking about lightnings, how do the older ones fair on the 1/4 mile?

1999 was the first year for them. The 99's had 360hp and I believe the 00's or 01's got a bump to 380hp.

Check out the message boards www.f150online.com or www.nloc.net for information on lightnings, really good info there..

A bone stock 01 or 02 lightning will run mid 13's with decent traction... Throw about $600-700 worth of mods at it and it will run high 12's with traction. It all comes down to 60' times in a lightning....

Mine has run a best of 12.35@110.5...
