Question what's so good about the flaming river rack

what's so good about the flaming river rack? I have one on my 88 LX that the previous owner put on. feels like the car has standard steering. Can anyone tell me why I shouldn't switch ti a regular rack? This thing is a pain in the a#$ to park.

Is that a difficult switch to make?

If it's beyond the scope of the shadetree mechanic, can I at least get a power-steering pulley?

I dunno...especially with Ford PS pumps, manual steering feels a LOT better, IMHO. It's so smooth and linear. My factory rack pulses and surges if I'm holding a steady steering angle.
