Flowmaster Super 40 A Potential Scam!!
I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this but I just read in the www.mustangexhaust.com site that someone had a very bad experience with the flowmaster super 40 mufflers. Turns out that these are not new mufflers as advertised by the company. The unfortunate individual found out the hard way that if you have the A/F cat-back you already have the super 40's. The A/T's have the Delta 40's that have been out for some time. He even states that the mufflers are the same size, appear to have the same spot welds, and have the same part numbers stamped on the casing. The only difference is that the Super 40's have a mat black paint instead of silver. He states the flowmaster rep he contacted admitted as much.
I didn't have a reason not to like Flowmaster until now. Any company that would try to scam people like this doesn't deserve my money!! Look for the forum thread on the site and see for yourself. I can't believe any company would try something like this. It is complete bullshit!! I'll stick with Magnaflow... nothing wrong with them, and the sound is awesome if you get the packs

Thats weird. I heard a soundclip the other day of the Super 40's and they sounded like glasspacks on whatever car they were on, so I figured they were different/sh*tty, but it could have been the car.

Blech...like I needed another reason to not use Flowmasters. I just never got on board when they changed their designs and their sound went to hell. But scamming people? That's just low.

I don't know why they'd do that, but I'll probably check out the spintech's instead now.
