The RX7 falls on it's face at about 80k. Not to mention from 80-120 a stock 5.0 will own it.
Even a lightly modded 5.0 will show an RX7 it's taillights. I don't know where the impression came from that the RX7 is fast?? It's got a lot of horsepower, but a horrible powerband. Even more horrible than the S2000 in my opinion. The TT RX7 made a pathetic 217lb/ft of torque, and an unimpressive 255hp. While there is the potential of the factory turbo car, getting one into the 12's is far more difficult than a Supra, or 300ZX TT. The RX7 is a road race car, not a drag car. It also didn't sell. Seems like the true test of that car was failed. The Mustang lives on. |
