1982GT, IMHO, probably the easiest and least expensive way to go is to find a complete 85GT engine, drop it in, add a catback for the 87-93 LX, get a better intake manifold, some stock 87-93 headers, and you should probably be making close to 250hp for cheap.

Jim, I'd keep the 90LX if I were you. Though you may run off a few dollars from it's value, it should remain a reliable daily driver for at least another 40,000 miles. I've had several fox bodies, and none of them was ready for retirement until after 150k. Let's not forget the freak 87GT which I loved to hate. It had 161k on it when I sold it for around $3500 a couple years ago, and it had it's share of issues at the time. Even so, it still managed to outrun my 01GT and my 02GT from a stop, and from a freeway roll without a problem with the timing still at 10*.
