Question from front wheel drive to rear???

Okay many people maybe wondering this but I just go a 1994 escort and i also have a 87 thunderbird turbo coupe engine...everything for an engineswap (btw it has a t3 from a 85 i believe)anyways i was wondering if i can just swap the engine and keep it fwd....or if it would be better to swap it and go rwd.....and what modifications i'm i looking at....I also have the turbo coupes 5 speed...well its all at my uncles house....it would be fun i believe. Just think a rwd escort and 250hp......not bad...not bad at all......i know it came stock with 190 but why keep it stock.......lol.....thanks......

Aside from having to custom fabricate the entire suspension, you've got a worse problem.

There's no drivehasft tunnel. You'd have to fabricate one down the entire pan. Too much time and money to spend on an escort.

Why not put it in a Pinto? They're lighter and RWD already.
