Post Corvette pulls 1.5 doughnuts in middle of hwy

I'm on my way home looking for a good race. I see this blue Corvette (~'96) w/ white racing stripes turning onto the hwy--I'm going south and he's turning to go north. Now this hwy is divided just by a grass median and has two lanes on each side.

He see's me coming and shoots out in front of me, looks both ways and then hits 2 doughnuts right in the middle of the hwy (in the north lanes)! Man, this looked soooooo awesome-- and pretty audacious as there was another car about to turn onto the hwy from the opposite side of the hwy.

It shocked the mess out of me (not literally). This thing had GOBS of power. Needless to say, I just closed my mouth and kept on driving for 3 reasons (instead of turning around and chasing down the Vette):

1) I already KNOW the outcome of the race: he would have KILLED me.
2) I didn't feel like playing 100 mph catch up b/c, dude, he was gone
3) I was real hungry and didn't really want a 15 minute detour.

Now when the Fox gets into the 11s, things are gonna be different.

Just thought I'd mention this story, heh heh. It just really shocked me. I didn't expect him to do that.

Well, you don't see that everyday! That sounds crazy, could you tell how old the driver was? It sounds like something a high-school kid would do in his/her Dad's/Mom's car...I would have loved to see that! I don't think I'd try & race that particular driver, though.

Hey Token,
A friend of mine said the same thing that it must've been some young kid. But I'm pretty sure he was in his late 20's.

dinomite,
Funny you'd ask me that. The reason I said "1.5 doughnuts" is that it looked like it started off very UNINTENTIONALLY. It really looked like he hit it too hard and fish tailed more than he planned so just kept going around.

I saw a vet get on it on Blanding blvd in Jax fl. and lose it and took out a phone pole and ram a couple of cars in a dealership. He knocked the power wire or some kind of wire off the pole and it hit the roof of my old car as I was driving under it. I was driving a dodge colt and it took the cb antenna off the roof. This guy got on it and started fish tailing and stayed in the throttle, jumped the median, hit a pole and took out 2-parked cars in a dealership.
