Default Why Do Peeps Gotta Hate On Da Shooz?!

GRRRRRRRRRR I'm sure some of you remember the controversial pic of me swapping the H pipe in, with those infamous black boots on (which were an OBVIOUS indicator that I wasn't TRULY working on my own car ).

So, I get this email today...here's an excerpt:

Hey...Nice site and some nice vehicals...

...Ok...quick question...the first pick on
the first page(you working under the mustang)
you weren't really working on the car at that time
right? (wearing those jeans and those shoes! lol)
...never the less I'm sure you do the work on your
cars(you probably know more than me!)
...pretty cool staged pick though.

Don't know if you're into the older mustangs
or not but if you are check out my page

Keep up the good work

WHAT IS IT WITH THOSE DARN BOOTS ?!

Talking boots or nothin

I myself live in boots...i have about 10 pairs. I NEVER wear tennies...(I'm too *******' short!) When we did my radiator hoses yesterday, I had on my red jeans, and my red and gold snakeskin boots...I got crap all over my jeans, but no pics....
Once it stays warm like its been, you'll just see barefooted legs sticking out from under neath the car!!!!!!!
No fashion sense....(the other peeps!)

I'm just thinking the boots give a sex appeal, every guys fantasy is to have a girl that loves and knows plenty about her car. Now if she's good looking too then it's a huge fantasy. I wouldn't think nothing of it. I thought the pic was pretty cool when I saw it.

Smile These boots are made for workin'

Mustangbelle:

I think the general assumption that the photo is posed stems from the fact that most of us - guys anyway - dress pretty ratty when working on the ground, under the car. Based on that experience, when people look at the photo, you simply appear to be too well dressed to be working 'for real'. No mystery there; originally, I thought so too.

When I found out otherwise, it made some sense as I assume you're somewhat fashion conscious and boots with jeans would probably be a normal working attire for a stylish female.

Well I see your point Mr. 5.0...but I kinda wonder...if a girl working on a car is so rare, then how can men have such a preconceived notion of what she is supposed to wear ???

oh well! Next time I will wear my TIMBALANDS to change my oil and settle the question once and for all

Good point.

I would assume that since seeing women work on their cars is rather rare, men simply project what they would be wearing onto what they assume a woman would be wearing.

As most guys would be wearing gease-stained pants and work shoes of some sort, anything much different on a girl seems unusual.

Next time, wear shorts and I guarantee you that no one will complain. At all.
