Question Fuel Pump Safety Switch

Leaving for work this morning, my '89GT wouldn't start. I noticed that I didn't hear my fuel pump spinning. My fuel pump safety switch in the trunk/hatch had to be reset. I know this safety switch is designed to trip in the event of an accident. Why would it trip for no reason. Is this a sign of trouble to come, or just a fluke. This is my fourth 5.0 and I've had this car for about 3 years and I've never had to reset the switch.

Some are more sensitive than others. It's possible you hit a good sized bump or someone maybe bumped your car when it was parked. I wouldn't worry.
