| Sam, just thought I should point out that the file is 1,000,000 bytes, which works out to 1MB. Not 100MB. You were right about todays hard drives though, they have a sustainded transfer rate of about 20-40MB/sec or so depending on the quality. Most software is designed to work around such limitations, for example, by storing it in memory until it can be written. Which would allow you to d/l at higer speeds than your hd can write until your memory is full. Now I really feel like a nerd.
