Got banned on the internet by rice!
So there's a local sport compact club in town with a messageboard i've been hangin' around.
I don't go to meet's 'cause i don't own an econo car. http://www.contemporarycustoms.com/u...ML/001268.html Reason why i liked it was because it was local. I've been grilled ever since i joined because i own a muscle car, even though i had lot's of positive information to offer. Today they took some cheap shots at me, then barred all the V8 owners from the board. I have to vent, i think they suck. For a while i thought some ricers were ok. There are import/F-Body owners on this site, yet everyone remains civilised towards one another. I'm back again Mustangworks! |

I got kicked out too... There administrators down there are the first to diss us out. I mean Prez in particular is ... well... there is no other way of putting it, ... an insecure an@l retentive son of a butch.
I admire the work done by the administrators on this board. No personal attacks, no stupid back stabing comments, ... no ganging up on people. It would be funny if one of us could register and tell them that V8 owners do not condemn compact car owners. We are people like others that enjoy cars. |

GTboy--thats right. My buddy has a 98 civic ex all riced out with decals and everything. I think he is pulling in about 115hp. But you know he only weighs like 1000 lbs and he whips my mustang up and down the road all day long. Then he wakes up and realizes its all a dream.

Yet he was the first to say he'd get killed in the 1/4, or that it took a lot more work to get the car as fast as stock V8, V6 or whatever. But he didn't care, he had his Chevy V8 for real racing (although he's switching to a stroked 5.0 http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif) and his little hobby car (the civic, which had fully ported heads, intake, racing cam, suspension, and most of the interior of the car missing, ran high 13's low 14's). He knows his stuff and doesn't talk sh*t. Oh well I guess this is all a lost cause. Even if the people who this was targeted at read it, it would just sail over there heads like everything else in life that makes sense... I'm done. Well I'm sure most of you can tell from my username that I'm from the CC board. I never bashed any of the V8 guys on there (well maybe CamroBoy when he first got on).
I just wanted to add my 2 cents to this. It’s unfortunate that all of you got banned, a few ruined it for the many. Some comments just should not have been said by both sides and wouldn't have been said if it was done in person. You have to acknowledge that you where guests on the CC board and should behave as such. I personally didn't stay up several nights getting that message board up so that a few people could talk in a negative manor about my car or my type of car. You know as well as I do that the V8 guys went over the line a couple of times. Not that the replies where called for either. When the posts weren't negative or bashing I thought it was good to have everyone on the board. But for some reason harmony can't exist between the car types. Adam Crain |

I just want to say that i dig Mustangworks. I have been reading this site fopr about a month before i joined to see what it is like. i like it. Enough said there. As for the banning, WHO CARES!! you got this one! I raced a lowered Prelude today. When he hit a bump, it was like a go-cart! no suspension travel at all! he had a tuna-can exhaust and i was ahead of him and i heard it over my 2 chamber flows!! i didnt want to race, but he was behind me reving it up. the car would have been cool if he didnt have the F14 wing and a mini-trukin' suspension. I dig japs cars. i owned them and i love them, but dont put something on your car that absolutely does nothing! (the wing) needless to say, i won. i dont know what it is, but did you ever notice how majority of people compare their cars to the Mustang? why is that? there must be a reason. anyways, im glad to join this board. rice or not, back up what you say, if not, keep your foot in your mouth! sorry so long.

I own a 2000 Black GT Coupe, i love it I also own a 1995 Dodge Neon sport coupe sohc, and you know what its can kick my stangs *** no problem! is it ricey? well I have 16" rims, and its lowered, and when i push it, it gets loud! but I take it on the track frequently, the springs are more for handling then looks(lower in front)and after rebuilding the engine, porting and polishing eberything, yah, there is air flow,a nd it will get loud! I run a quicker quarter than most stangs can do, unless they are full race, which the neon is not, It handles soooooo much better than any stang, and its fun to pull up next to stangs and smoke them! remember tho, I own one! and you knwo what being a member of contemporary customs, and an owner of a stang I can tell you that you were out of line in their forum, as guests, you really shot your mouths off, alot of those cars will hand your asses to you! Go into their forum and bash their cars,a nd opinions, hmm,a nd they got mad? Go figure! Kinda makes me ashamed to be a Stang owner(not my first either). Really helps underline what most people think of us anyhow, bunch of rednecks with attitudes that think they opwn the road! Great, thats what we needed, more people against us! A lot of them are missing the whole point, why is it possible for me, a Camaro lover to come on a Mustang board and not get flamed for it and get accepted when I get banned simply because of my name on their board? It is complete immaturity and lack of acceptance. On the camaroz28 board there is LOTS of imports (mind you fast ones! :-)) and Mustangs and not everybody gets along but you know what? That's life! You know what is the funniest? I got banned and the only vehicules I own right now are two Honda Civics 91 four doors! I can't even break in the 16's! Mouhahahaha! I would like to personally apologize for the actions of some of our members at CC. I'm also very sorry if I offended anyone by removing there posting privledges. We are trying to accomodate you guys the best we can, but things did get out of hand, so I had to do what I had to do. Fact of the matter is, there are 2 parties at fault here, so let's not lay blame on each other. We WILL work something out for the local car community, but you guys need to realize that I make our paying members interests a priority over everyone else on our board. They complained like crazy, so I had to do something. You guys know that I'm extremely reasonable and approachable. Too often in the car world people choose to segregate themselves from other groups! Down here in toronto our little club has everything from civics to pickups to audi's to stangs, to vettes, and we sponsor a late model stocker in cascar. I DO own a neon, and I DO own a stang, they are 2 very different cars, I only drive the stang when its nice out, shes my baby, but the neon is also my baby, cuz she and I have done all sorts of stupid things together. I am well aware of the suck factor of the auto-stang! and for those that call it rice, there is a guy down here that has a scorpion wing(huge 3 tier wing) on his v6 auto, he has a bag around the auto to make it look stick, he has a HUGE RACTIVE muffler on the end, and he has GT badges all over it! thats rice! is my purely stock looking neon rice? I dunno, I dont think you'e be able to tell it from a stock one, other than the fact its lowered about 1 inch! Regardless, love don't hate! That was the point I was trying to make. We all know its cool to be at the dragstrip and see a stang pull an 11 or 12, but can you honestly say you arent impressed when you see some civic pull a 12? I know I am! Cars are cool! Hate isn't, so again, I apologize for fueling the flames of aggression and ignorance! |
Do Camaro SS (The new ones) come with Autos? I havent seen one that has one in it and just assumed they didnt option one.
Must be the air or something here, but the Fastest new LS-1 I've seen is a 2000 Z28 SS coupe that has aftermarket headers/exhaust,K&N, and a chip (this is what the guy said) running a 12.8 on his 2nd of 5 runs. Average was 13.2. I've also saw several 97-98 FireBird Trans-Am Ram Air models at the strip, and they dont pull any faster than 13.4, there average bieng 13.5 . Maybe its the track, but I'm not seeing the Rip Roaring HP that the LS-1's are cranking out. Granted that the 12.8 was impressive with the 2000 SS, but he was modded. One of these days, I'm going to take my cars down there and see what they'll run.
