![]() O.K., a classic Mustang problem hit me today...my door handle broke and I was wondering if there is a way to fix it w/o taking off the door panel?
MAN, I HOPE SO! Thanks Adam

![]() Sorry Adam, the door panel has to come off to access the door handle mounting rivets/bolts. Roll up the window, remove the speaker grill, armrest and the inside door handle bezel then carefully pop off the door panel.
The broken handle may be riveted and you'll need to pop the rivets off from the outside but you can use bolts to install the new handle, just use thread locker. I recommend the metal handles (Texas Mustang Parts has them). Last forever. If this seems like too big a hassle any body shop should be able to do the job for you but get a few estimates...prices vary...and get the metal handle(s). |
