Question How hard is it to install a Steeda 180 thermostat on the 4.6 mod motor???

Can this be done by yourself or did anyone have it done for them and how much did it cost??? thanks

i say go with the 7-8 dollar robert shaw 180 tstat, and its a piece of cake, the tstat housing is that aluminum piece that the radiator hose conects to on the intake, is held on with 2 LONG 10mm bolts, pull them out and youll see the tstat right there, R&R and put it back together, USE A TORQUE WRENCH WHEN TIGHTING IT BACK TOGETHER otherwise youll have yourself a cracked intake rather soon. if your replacing the tstat nows the best time to replace your coolent, drain it out from the little plug on the bottom of the radiator before you pull the tstat housing, dont want to end up with a mess now, do ya? total time probably less than an hour

my eec tune requires the 180 stat and the colder spark plugs, ive never seen an actual gain on a stock car, imo its not worth it but thats just me.

cobra just like every other 4.6 should be a 195

ps, no such thing as a 'posi' in a ford, Traction Lock yes, but no posi, thats a cheby thing.
