Cobra R WRECKED - So Cal Mountain Cruise
Anyone know what happened between the Cobra R and the WRX? By the time we got to that point the Cobra was into the guard rail with the WRX behind it, both wrecked, fluid pooring out of the Cobra, people everywhere. Were the drivers OK? How bad are the cars? They looked pretty screwed from what I saw.

Yes, unfortunately a 2000. There were 400+ of the worlds baddest cars on this cruise. I also heard there were a few other wrecks, and a couple of bikes went down and someone had to be airlifted out. I know there were several Saleen's, 5.0's, and 4.6's that went, so I was hoping someone knew something more than we did. My buddy is trying to find out from the Corvette guys.

Yes, here is the link http://www.geocities.com/gtii_2000/GT-III.htm
It has info from last years cruise (with pics of totaled BMW M, and Accord hanging over cliff). That was with only 130 cars. This year was 400+ (AMAZING) The staging area was the best car show I've ever been to, Let alone the cruise. Everything you could imagine. The site has a driver/car lineup, but I assure you more showed up. One of the Saleen owners posted some pics of the Cobra R and WRX on another forum, NOT GOOD for either car. No matter how many times the oranizer warned of this, some people just go a little over the edge. |

is there a way to straighten a frame???
if so i would rebuild it.......the people in that forum seem like a bunch of domestic hating ricers.......saying that there aRE ONLY 299 COBRA R'S LEFT TILL A HAPPY WORLD.....i say the world can't be happy until the government bans the use of fart pipes so normal people don't get annoyed by the shitty noise pollution from people who think they are cool and think there car is fast....... is that the only one that has been wrecked so far? I would have done the same thing if i had a cobra r and some guy in an impreza was tailin me......especially if i did not know the area.....its a sad day JAMES ------------------ Black 1990 gt cobra bonestock not for long |
