the heartbeat stops here
I'm a friend of Dan McClain. He invited me over to his house yesterday and he took me for a ride in his stang aka "death machine". it's a pretty insane car. he started out pretty tame, then he let it rip as the road turned into a little expressway. Next thing ya know, Dan got us up to about 120+. Then he had to slow it down because Farmington Hills finest were sitting in the middle of the road.
I've never felt anything quite like it... much more of a thrill ride than a roller coaster. Unfortunately, Dan still needs to work on his clutch so he can really get on it. He has the phrase "The Heartbeat Stops here" across his back window. And he showed that he could stampede over just about any chevy he wants to! Thanks again for the ride Dan.

Hey, no problem blackvert00... I was itching to take it out for a spin any ways... Like I said though, until the clutch issues are cleared up (I STILL do not have the parts! *sigh*), I can't lay any "real" power to it. hahahaha, I never had it to even 3/4th throttle yesterday (and we were already burning the clutch). That was also the street set-up with just 10 lbs of boost, which makes 600 HP. Wait till I have the clutch all set-up and change to the 18 lb pulleys, then I'll take you for a real ride... It makes around 800 ponies then...
Do you have a neck brace?

I got a ride in it when it was still untuned and stumbling, and was impressed. When Dan gets it running 100% correct, its then when I _wont_ go in his car!
MY Mustang update: Last night, I yanked the full-lengths and exhaust off to re-install ANOTHER @#$%^& starter! Should be firing up this bad boy maybe tonight. Open headers of course!

Awesome! Whenever I hear posts like this, it makes me think insane thoughts about my GT. Too bad I have no money for parts. Someday, someday, I hope to be able to make people wet themselves when I give them a ride.
Cool stangs, guys!

Started my motor for the first time since Novermber!
Fired it up at 7:10am this morning. Kids were eating breakfast. [kids:]" Dad, you know the scene in Jurasic Park where the dinosaur is comming and the water vibrates, well, our cereal was doing that!" Ok, so it was open headers... See video: http://www.dariusrudis.com/videos/starter.mpg p.s. Got it to run longer than 5 seconds, but still got that solenoid (low voltage?) issue...

rbatson - you've definitely got a point there...
Darius - It's about time! So, when do I get my ride?

I Have Had a few people drive my car and no buddy can give me a positive answer on what is wrong with it. I think it needs a cam but I would like to know for sure before I go spend the money on it.

I am in Farmington Hills, and frequently up in the Flint area as I have family there... Perhaps we can hook up some time and I'll check it out.
