Help me pick my new hood
I was going with the Cobra RR Hood:
http://www.abcexclusive.com/images/a...o/rr800_s2.jpg But I found out that the stock height will clear my new intake, I kinda like the Cobra SS hood too: http://www.abcexclusive.com/images/a...to/ss800_s.jpg I like the RR cause it's higher, and mean looking. I like the SS though because I've never seen another car with one...would like the unique look. ------------------ In Memory of Dale Earnhardt 1951-2001 Deep forest green '95 Mustang GTS, Edelbrock Upper & Lower Intake, FMS 3:73's, B&M Ripper 5-speed, air silencer removed, K&N filter, advanced timing, 2 chamber Flowmasters, '01 Bullitt Wheels, Indiglo whiteface gauges Moderater "Donut Cafe" at SVTPerformance.com |
This is kinda tough because the ss hood would be different but the R hood just looks so good. But here's some advice the r hood is guarnteed to look good- ss hood?

I like the Cobra RR hood. I think the SS hood looks funny. That's just my opinion

If your intake clears and you willnot be making any more mods in the next year or so that will increase intake height, go with the SS hood. It is unique, looks good, and you won't be perpetrating with a hood taller than you need it to be.
If the RR hood makes you look faster than you are, then not good. If the SS makes you look slower but stil makes car look great, that's better-- surprise a few people IMO. But then again, ultimately comes down to what you really want. GET WHAT YOU REALLY WANT. ----------------------------------------- 351W-powered 1979 Ford Mustang notchback Stock 5.8L under 4" cowl, C4 w/ shift kit Holley 750 cfm, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake 1 5/8" MAC shorty headers, Al driveshaft 2.5" Off road H-pipe, 2-chamber Flowmasters Front: 225/60/15, Rear: 255/60/15 Eagle GT II Weld wheels (15x6;15x8), 8.8" Rear w/ 3.55s 14 x 4” K&N air filter (getting the Xtreme setup someday) http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/cool.gif "Red, thou art my companion. I think that ss looks terrible...Can't you get a cervini ram air hood thats actually functional? Or else go with the R...that ss looks like somethin some ricer would slap on his honda
