Help me pick out wheels
I need everyones help. I am ready to order wheels but I cant decide which ones to get. I personally like the way the Weld DFS Draglites look on coupes, versus a 5 star type, but you guys could sway my decision. Please take a minute to give me your opinion.
Thanks Andy Weld DFS Draglites Bogarts

Oh yeah.... The fronts are going to be skinnies (15x3.5 or 5) and the rears are 15x10.

I like the Fluted Drag Stars. I've never seen a car with those, but I've seen a ton with the Draglites. Be different! My $.02.

Personnally, I would go with the Bogart D-10 wheel. I know you didn't list it as a choice, but I saw a Stang at Norwalk's FFW and it looked very very sharp. Plus, its different than what everybody else seems to have. I'm getting these for my coupe soon.
But, if I have to stick to the the four choices you gave, I like the clean look of the Bogart Drag-On Fly Star. It looks pretty basic, but they are a very clean look. I would pass on the Weld's. E

Monocoques, or if your budget is lower, Weld AlumaStars.

Thanks for the replys so far guys.
6T9PONY I agree with your reasoning 100%! But most of the cars I see in the NMRA have the Star wheels. My way of being different was to go back to the Welds. Belle Monocoques were my first choice. They are actually made by Bogart. They are real popular in the NMRA because they pay contingency. However, I have heard from two different sources that things arent going so good there. If I heard otherwise, I would definately get them. And Yes, that car you referred to is the Renegade car built by Brian Meyer and Rick Anderson. MM&FF followed the build-up of that car a few years ago. Brian had alot of breakage last year, and has not raced at all this year. I have heard that he is planning something for next year. Andy
