Post help! need to open hood

My friend has a chevy blazer (1991) and he went to open the hood and the cable snapped I guess. How do we get the hood open now?

Depending on how the cable is routed you might be able to reach in the grille with a pair of needlenose pliers and pull on the little nub of cable that's left...or possibly the cable might be accessible from under the vehicle (would be a pretty long stretch depending on where the cable broke and where the in-cab handle is placed, but worth a look). I don't know how Blazers are set up...

Cool

Chevy huh? The best way I know to open that hood, is to take that chevy to a Ford dealer, trade it in, and let the Ford people give it back to the chevy dealer and let those guys deal with it.

He is ready to get a new vehicle. I am trying to talk him into a mustang, of course. But, we need the blazer to drive to Florida for spring break. To open the hood we had to take the grill off and then stick a screwdriver up by the latch and push on it until it released.

Cool

You know Ford makes really good SUV's. One of my customers has a Ford Expedition, and man is it nice. But then again a Bronco with a 302 in it makes a nice ride too.
