Default Ricers Invaded the track tonight

I got to the track around 5:00 tonight and usually theirs a couple cars there. Everybody gets their around 6 or later. Damn, I thought i was in the national import meeting or something. The WHOLE pit area was covered with nothing but rice. Me and a guy in a 69 Camaro were the only american cars there I went about my business..me and a couple guys on my crew. Unloaded the car and decided to set the wheelie bars a little lower than normal cuz i had a feeling it was gonna come up in a hurry. So i walk up to the track before anybody runs and walk on the starting line to see how much sticky it was. My foot about got stuck to the pavement so i knew it was gonna be good. I hurry back to the pits Fire the stang up and hurrily get in line before it gets too packed. I swear when my car started up all the ricers ran. it was hilarious. They just stared at it like they never saw anything like that before.haha So i do my burnout and stage the car. All the ricers ran to the fence to see a real car run. I brought the revs up and all of a sudden it cuts off?? I'm like WTF? So try to restart it and it wouldn't fire. Luckily the track crew was friendly. So i finally get it restarted and stage bring the revs up again and let it rip. Blistered down the track on all three stages to a 4.32 174mph. Fastest time yet in the car. All in all it was a good night. I only ran twice because the car keeps backfiring through the carbs. So that's more work i got to do to it.

I hate ricers just as much as the rest of us 'stangers do but I've seen some ricers that are pretty freakin fast!!
An inport without a turbo isn't worth crap IMO.

these things were incredibly slow. It was almost boring to watch them go down the track.

I'm not sure how I let that slip by.

That's a sweet run man. I can only imagine how many of those ricers had to change their shorts when you fired up.

Let us know how you fare on the 1320.

I'll prolly nail the 1/4 one time before the season is over with. This car runs extremely well with the new nitrous setup. It's haulin the mail. I've been cutting consistent 1.06 60fts and .430 lights

Oh Eric, you're just jealous of all of those ricers. Go ahead and go buy one.

Sounds like your car IS hauling some serious mail, wish I could get mine to run that well. Guess I need to throw some spray at it. I too hate it when ricers are at the track. All they do is ruin the track, really sucks.

Should have mine rolling tonight. Stretched a rod and hosed some bearings, not too bad I guess.
