Ever go to Fomoso?

Well, when I got it it was primer grey. Original color was a green. I'm going to paint it irridesant (not sure on spelling) purple. I've seen a few w/ this paint job, looks great. It's ganna cost a bundle though.

The original 289 block is sitting in my garage. The previous owner put a racing cam shaft in it and put something in backwards and the cover brock off into the engine. It died 3 days after owning it. That was 2 engines ago. Now I have a new one. I'll find out more specifics about ti as soon as I can. It's having overheating problems and all the electrical is original, lots of shorts.

I just resently, (the 4th of July weekend) replaced the exhaust system. The muffler began dragging about 1/2 mile from my exit. :( It has a "glass pack" muffler. I think that's what it was called.

Most everything is original.

The previous owner cut a hole inorder to fit his sterio in it. Have no speakers right now, or heater, or A/C.

What else would you like to know?

Oh...

New engine
New alternator
New power box thingy
New battery
New exhaust system
New radio, not the greatest, it has a remot though hehe
New carpet
New radiator
New water pump

Can't think of anything else right now.

I own a 1966 Coupe.
Fiance started making fun of my car, it was primer grey. The body is actually in GREAT condition. There is almost NO rust on my car. It's a real find.

Anywho, he was making fun of it, calling it "the rustang". When ever he talked about it, he'd call it that. In the beginning it would annoy me, he did it so often that I just started ignoring him. Eventually. I started calling it that. I wonder if it'll continue once it's painted. hehe That'll be a while though.

Is starting this thing where they can race there on certain days. I believe it's just starting. If it keeps up, I'm sure eventually I'll end up going.

My fiance is a member of http://bakersfieldstreetracing.com/ His screen name is, "earlebishop" and my screen name there is, "SwEeEt AnGeL". He used to race w/ them. He has a Porsche 928 S4 he would race. He got his lisence suspended though, for 2 speeding tickets. So, he's not racing now. Plus he hydroplaned it just before he lost his lisence. It's waiting for new body pannels. Anywho, who cares about his Porsche. = P

Since he's a racer, and trying to turn me into one, once he gets his lisence back we're ganna enter the scene again. I miss it. :(

We're also planning on going to Willowsprings Raceway, and Femoso.

I talk too much. hehe

I know there is some stigma associated with Bakersfield. So I thought I would laugh. Don't worry though, some of my best friends grew up there. Thats all.

I hate Bakersfield, it's a nasty town. = P

I grew up in a town near there, Tehachapi. I lived there (Bakoersfield) for a year. I went to college there for 2 years. I have friends still going to the college. I have friends that live there. So I go visit Bakersf*ck. (That's what they call it.) I just resently spent 2 weeks there. Sucked.

Fiance owns a house there.

Cool, thanks for the welcome. :) I didn't know there were this many Mustang's until I bought mine. After a while I noticed tht quite a few of the drivers are woman. It's cool. hehe :)

Pictures, of course I will. :) I'd see ifI could barrow my moms digital camera if I thought people would actually care to see The Rustang. hehe Right now it's priver black. Was grey but got sick of all the spots where it was wearing away to the paint underneeth.

I love my car, even though it give me constant troubles.
My fiance wants to give it an inexpensive paint job and sale it.
I got it for $3,500, and supposebly w/ a paint job, the way it is, it'll be worth $6,000. I've already invested more than $3,000 in it, so I'd almost be getting my money back. That's his veiw on it anyways. (He bought it for me, and pays for the repairs.)
I don't wanna get rid of it and told him so. And, he said "I thought you hated it.". hehe Told him "No, I love it, just don't like it breaking all the time. At least it's not as bad as your money pit of a car." He has a Porsche 928 S4, and each time it breaks, it costs a pretty penny to fix it. Anyways...

Yep, I got lost going to pick up a friend in Bako one night, and ended up in Oildale. Was about 11pm. Good thing we were in an American car, and could haul behind out of there.

Just so you know, Mustang2002 is Crazy Horse's grandson. I think the "we don't bite (hard) comment was because he is still teething. Actually he's 13 or so. I don't want your fiancee to get jealous.;)

Screw that. I'd just go to Home Depot.

BTW, speaking of which, you remember where Mokey Wards was in Ventura by the Mall? They're gonna put a LOWE'S in there. That should really help out the traffic at Mills and Main! :rolleyes:

Wow, must have been scary. I was there after dark, once. I wouldn't go outside. I was w/ friends. they finally gave me to choice to stay the night there, or leave with them. So I left w/ them. Then they insisted on going to a gas station on the way back to Bako. for some junk food. God I was scared. There was this group of guys there just watching me. I wanted to snap at them to take a picture, but I'd rather live.

LoL He has nothing to worry about, afterall, this is just a board. ;)

no when i asked him how to bump my timing on my 4.6 to 14 degrees, his answer- i have no idea, but i didnt either, then, i found out it takes a 250.00 buck chip to do it. :eek: :eek: :D

It's great to hear about your car, sounds like my '66 used to be. I sold it for $3000 just a month ago all primer, but all kinds of mods under the hood. No rust, but both rear quater panels needed replacing.
