*hiccup* kill me....
*sigh*...just venting a little here...
I can manage to avoid accidents day in and day out in this retirement castle town where all the drivers don't know how to, but when it comes to my driveway and my brand new 2002 gt conv, I guess fence posts get the best of you...i'm lucky my dad only wanted white plastic (on my black car...ugh)...so by taking a corner a little too tightly to get out of my parking place, I managed to rip off my side scoop, create a quarter sized dent where my scoop was forced out and add a few small scratches around the area...not to mention rub white plastic across my wheel well...I managed to rub off the majority of the white that just brushed on with my handydandy shamy/cloth thingy i kept in my car before mumbling the news to my parents...course the screams were about how i managed to hit the post...lol...so now tomorrow i get to call ford and ask them to order a new passengerside side scoop and clean up the area to try and buff out the small scratches a bit...i have no way of reaching this dent either...its at the bottom corner of where the side scoop would be...ive moved my hand around the inside of the wheel well and under the car somewhat, but no such luck....everything is all coevered in...ford certainly designed a funky car...and a bunch of cheap plastic addons...granted they do look cool, but everyone of the pieces that held that side scoop in snapped right off!...but i guess they werent deisgned to withstand fence posts...heh... like i just said...only venting...it just sucks because i was so excited that i broke in my car today (i hit 1000miles) then this happened tonight...ergg... anyone know of a fantastic brand of scratch remover for a black car? heh.... just tell the insurance you parked at the mall and it was like that when you came back out;)
|
His insurance may skyrocket if he's young tireburner but you could say your dad was driving. :D If he agrees to that. hehehe... How old are you? Just curious?
I would of probably cried and hung myself if I did that to my car. Hope you have better luck in the future, §am. |
lol...and when they go to inspect and find little tiny plastic pieces embedded in the scratches...hehe :) plus my parents have a thing about fixing cars..."if youre stupid enough to hit it, youre going to pay to fix it"...my older brother backed into a mailbox when he was driving that 90 gt that i drove this past year before getting my new one...he ended up completely messing up the rear vailence...lol...and hes clipped a license plate off the side of a jeep on his old z28...had to fix most of the quarter panel..lol..hasnt done anything to his new ss...yet (dont blame him for driving a chevy..lol)
i just turned 18 this month actually...and the car was a grad/bday present...:\ i pulled out of my parking spot, heard the crumple and pulled into a clean spot on the side of my long driveway covered by brush and got out going omg, omg, omg, what the he11 did i just do?!! i was about ready to have a panic attack..lol...but im ok now...i went into ford today and ordered the new side scoop and plastic screws that hold it into place...i was lucky...it was only about $68...so tomorrow ima take it to a good body shop i know around here and ask for an estimate on taking out my two smallish dents and the couple of scratches...but right now if you dont look close it only seems like im missing the part...hehe btw...im trying to get homely with this forum :) i love mustangs...course i feel sorry for mine now..lol...breaking in a car at 1000miles shouldnt consist of replacing a part..lol...i realize that me rambling here doesn't really bring a whole lot of attention yet because you guys dont know me...but i try to post when i can :) if you guys wanna ask me anything about myself to try and get to know me better so maybe i wont seem so out of place when i do personal posts or replies, then by all means ask away :) Jonathon |

lmao...theres actually three of us...they were lucky enough to have 3 boys all within 2 years of the next...and im that damn middle child...lol...my grandparents found out i was getting this car and my grandmother wanted to know if we could adopt her too....lol...so should could go get a grad present...hehe...its a deal in our house...you graduate, you get $10,000 for a car...my brother's 94 z28 was 10k when he bought it...and for me, i was looking at the new mustangs and trying so hard to find a gt cheap....i actually found a black hardtop with under 30k miles for approx 10k...(course i had a bad feeling about it anyways..lol)...but they completely surprised me on my graduation day with the receipt for it in a card...my dad said i earned it....i managed straight a's all my senior (this) year, graduated with a 4.02 weighted GPA, national honors society, french honors society, cum laude, all sorts of other awards n such....he said to the lady doing the detail check on my car when it was brand brand new that it was the only way to top me...lol...i wonder what ill achieve at UF for the next few years...weee :)
