Congrats to the Mighty Ducks, but that series definitely sucked! You cannot just blame Cujo or any of the other Wings either. There is no one person to single out. For us anyway.

Giguere was awesome in goal, but he can't get all the credit either. Their coaching was better, their defense was better, and their goalie did play about as solid in net as any goalie can. Toss in a little luck for good measure, and you get 4 losses in a row by 1 goal margins.

Larionov needs to retire and take Robitaille with him. I say keep McCarty. We need someone who can fight and scrap and do the rough stuff. Federov. Who knows? I can't even guesstimate on that one. I'm not crazy about him leaving though.

We need to get Fischer back from injury too. He played a key role in our defense in last years Cup run and I told my buddies shortly after he went out with his knee injury that it would hurt us and I think it did. The pairing of Chelios and Fischer worked so good last year. We missed that.
