Default how do I get wax out of worn window seals?

Well I waxed my car and got some wax on the seals above the window. I got it out of the quarter glass windows with a power washer, but the ones above the driver/passenger window are all pited and even a power washer won't get it out. Do you guys know of any way to get this stuff out?

Also I smooth seals around the wind shield and the hatch also have wax on them. Scrubing and power wash seem to have no affect. Any answers here would also be greatly aprecitated.

I have the same problem with my GT Josh....it sucks. One of my friend's dad's let me use some detailer's clay (as he called it) and it took about 3 minutes to get the wax out of a relatively small area and i didn't feel like hanging out for an hour doing that. Other than that i'm not sure what you can do to get it out. I've seen replacement window seals available in Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords magazine (i think this last issue had an article about replacing the seal around the rear 1/4 window) and the weather stripping above the door is fairly easy to obtain as well. The bad news: replacing all that costs about $150+ dollars.
You could try the detailer's clay, but it takes awhile because you have to rub hard and long enough to dislodge all the wax stuck inside the corroded rubber.

If you guys are talking about the rubber around the quarter windows and under the drivers passenger windows I have your solution.

I tried forever, power wash, everything else etc, still that whitest wax reside left behind.

Pissed me off.

Go get some black shoe polish and go over them all. It will make them all nice and black again and look like new!

Ive done it twice now, works great.
