Modified V-6

I have a '98 3.8L V-6 and have modified w/K&N Filter, Pro-kit Eibach Springs and Strut Tower Bar. Next will be cool-air intake and Superchip/Diablo (havn't decided yet based on forum messages. I'll wait 'til more guys drop the Diablo in and see). I have to be honest and say that it all depends on what your goal is.

I am 32 and have a young son. The gas mileage on a well tuned 3.8L is much better than the 4.6L. With the whole Iraq issue, I'd compromise HP right now in lieu of potential gas prices. For young men, Insurance is a big factor too.

Don't let all these guys interested in increasing their ET at the tracks let you fold on the V-6. Modify him a bit and you'll blow the GT boys out the window and they'll look at you like...Huh?...

Do your research, keep function before form and only buy the best.

Have Fun! Jane of all Trades.

Horse, I think it was probably me that was being referredf to as opposed to modding the 6 banger..

No disrepect Gentlemen

Gentlemen,

I did not intend to offend anyone with my statements. I WISH I could have 1/2 of what some of you fella's have, but, I can't. So I do with what I have and try to be happy with that. I just felt that a couple of the absolute don't bother comments may have driven Dan-man away from a nice solid vehicle.

We just can't all have what some of you "Big Guys" have. Be nice to us Newbie Wanna-bes "k"...Some of us are looking for true knowledge here... Wink, Smile ... We're all family here right!

and I'd like to recant the "ET time" statement. You are all nice people and at the moment, ya' made me a little grumpy (and a tad deficient having a little 'ol V-6). ;)

So sorry guys...

Don't feel deficient

Please don't feel deficient Jane or grumpy either for heaven sakes. We welcome anyone in here no matter what they might drive. And BTW, most of us "big guys" are just ordinary car enthuseists that love our cars and want to talk with others about them. Welcome Jane to MW.

Thanks!

Thanks Rev!

Nice to be able to talk to you guys. I usually just like watching, ;) but sometimes you just have to jump in there and grab the bull by the horns. :) Thanks again for the warm welcome and it's nice to be here. Expect me to pop in and peek around now and then. You guys have some awesome information and I have been able to make some pretty nice little changes to my "boy" and I'm real happy with him so far. It's always nice to keep us ladies happy!
