|  How to mount front plate on '97 stang? I jusr purchased a '97 cobra convertible. I bought the car from CT which doesnt have a law on having a front plate but I live in NY and I need to mount my new plate upfront. There are no holes or brackets (as far as i can see...). Is there a mounting kit i should buy? Should I take a power drill to my ground effects?  |

| Re: How to mount front plate on '97 stang? Man, I hate NY.....Anyway, you have to screw the bolts into the front bumper cover  and kind hope they stay. There is a licence plate mounting kit, it's a nice black thingie that just screws into your front bumper in the center. If you look close enough you will see to small circles in the bumper.......as much as I hate to say this......screw the bolts in there. Oh and NY sucks.....
