I finally seen it...
I finally saw "The Fast and the Furious". Man, I tore that movie apart. There were so many things wrong with it. First of all, those cars would never fit under a semi trailer. Second, jumping from 120to 140mph just by letting out the clutch in that car is not even real.
The movie wasn't that bad, but it needed alot added to it. Any muscle car could have beeten those cars. At the end, if he knew how to drive that car, he whould have won by a long shot. I heard that there was a mustang song in the movie. I seen it twice and didn't notice the song, about where in the movie is it??? Also, if u look carefuly in the background, right before the two motorcycles guys shoot at the kid and the VW, u can see a mustang. To me, it looks to be between '67 and '68. It's a fast back, but not sure if it was a shelby. If any more ppl saw anyother mustangs in the movie, please say so.

The song that was playing during the opening credits had the word mustang in it but I don't know if it was about Mustangs or not. I just want to know where to get the "titanium valve springs" they talked about in the movie.
The movie was meant for ricers who don't know much about cars or physics.

I saw a Mustang as they were running away from the street race with the cops in pursuit. It looked like a 95-97 but it was tricked out like a ricer wanna be. not really worth noticing. As for the guy winning if he knew how to drive....I am assuming you mean the Charger and I totally agree....I almost cried when they destroyed that beautiful car....although when it first started to flip off that semi I was kinda hoping it would land on the Supra..hehe

The mustang song is playing when he gets out of the lightning to go to the diner at the start of the movie.
Here's another thing I don't get, why does Johnny Tran say "too early" about when the guy in the VW hits the nitrous? It didn't look like they were having traction problems and I don't think that it could swallow a 10 lb bottle in one run?! An instant 3 Carlengths at the push of a button! I mean nitrous works but not that well! Oh well I bought the movie to test out the DVD player on my Playstation 2.

I replied to this topic and wrote for about 10 minutes but for some reason it didn't work and I don't feel like typing it alll again so I will just summarize.
I was wondering the same thing about hitting the"nosss" too late, early. Thats not the case, the rest of them were really hitting it too late.Bunch of slaps. Heck, they all had like 4 10lb bottles anyway. Its not like it would even run out at WOT for like a minute. Hey, I've got an idea. Since you own the movie, grab a stopwatch and put the movie in. Scan it to the last race scene (with the charger). He says its exactly 1/4 mile to the railroad tracks. Time how long it takes them to pass the train. It seems like its atleast 20-25seconds. (none in slow-mo either) This will give you an idea of how "fast and furious" these cars are. oh yah, another thing. During the first race, that one guy is changing the statistics in his $10,000 computer controlled engine management thing, what a dumbass. Then after the race, smoke comes up from the engine bay and the "mechanic" says he needs to replace his piston rings! Theres no way that worn piston rings will cause smoke to come up in the engine bay! well, now that i think about it, i typed for a long time again, so i should just take that previous comment back. I'm glad I didn't see this in a movie theater because I woulda been kicked out for laughing at parts that I wasnt supposed to, and yelling at the idiots

I was refering to the charger, he should have won. As for the "titanium valve springs", I'm still looking for those too.
What I think was funny about the first race, was that if his car was smoking, how did it run from the cops, I'd think it would have just died a little after it started smoking, but right after the race, it never smoked again; till it was shot up-hehe

I also got a kick out of the Charger laying some serious smoke as it's doing a wheelie!! Ya gotta love Hollywood.

Just seeing the previews and hearing everyone's comments on it makes me think if I saw this movie it would be more of a comedy to me than an action movie.
I can't wait for someone to come out with a movie about real street racing

That reminds me.....
My favorite Hollywood blunder. Anytime you see someone leaving a scene rapidly, there is always a tire squeel. Doesn't matter what the surface is, or what kind of car it is. My favorite is dirt
