Exclamation Cool off

You can't prove this guy has your stereo, you 'know' he didn't steal it but you can find out who did and you want to risk jail time by destroying his property and 'breaking his fingers' or whatever fantasy revenge acts you can dream up.

Not a good plan. Although your anger is understandable it's also dangerous and can lead you into big trouble. Most sane people don't sit still for assaults and destruction of all their property. You'll either have the fight of your life or go to prison.

Over a stereo.

I would consider trying to get your stereo back from this good buddy who you 'know' didn't steal it from you (how do you 'know' this? - it was in his car) and let it go at that. If he's such a bud, why can't you just tell him it's yours and ask for it back? So you can't prove it - he must know yours was stolen and if he's such a good guy who wouldn't swipe anything from his bud - like a stereo - then he should hand it over. If not, he may be the guy you want to fight for it.

Either that or find some new friends.
