I had a dream...

Last night I had a dream I had a newer thunderbird I guess 94-95? With a 5.0 in it. It was black on black with black tinted windows with nice chrome rims. I had ported windsor sr heads on it, and AOD w/ 3.73 gears with a shift kit. Thats all I remember from the mods. I had quiet mufflers and it was a nice cruiser. I raced this guy in a 5.0 with boltons and smoked him pretty good.

So I just sold my Integra, maybe this isnt such a bad idea!?! I know they are heavy but a similar motor to my stang could push 13's I'm sure. Keep it nice and quiet but still have power to smoke some people! Hmm?

i had a dream about a Datsun Z with a roots blown 351. sweet indeed. then i had a dream about a twin turbo 1985 supra....i love the gen. 3 supra's.....keep dreamin'. a T-bird with a 5.0? go for it. but if you want my opinion, all newer t-birds are ugly. go for an old 240Z, turn it into a 580Z with a nice, big windsor.

You'll have to find one between 89-93, Sky.

After that they get the first gen 4.6L and there is no helping them.

I can't think of a better car to put a Kenne Bell supercharger on. I wouldn't go to overboard though, they have IRS on them, don't need to be breaking half shafts. Guess a lowering kit is supposed to really help their handling too.

I'd say go for it, I've always like the Thunderbirds.

85 was the second gen Supra...third gen was 86.5 to 92. Hey Sky, remember that Supra I told you about? That would be a nice change......go for the turbo I6.....

The other night I had a dream, I had a t-bird 1100mhz on an.....oh wait, wrong t-bird.

Have you seen a Mitsubishi Starion/Chrysler Conquest? They look almost the same and are faster....Turbo RWD I4......

Oh yeah....How is this for a dream? Mid 80's Ford pick-up, a built 351, powerglide, 8.8" rear with 4.11's, and last but not least a Novi 2000. Can you say sleeper? Or better yet, a Mustang II with this combo.

heh i hope you mean a ranger.

a solid mexican 347 w/ a direct port, glide and a 9". now that sounds more like an asskicking combo to me.

I know what you mean Sky, they are a nice riding car. I had a 85 cougar XR-7 and it rode like a dream, wish I still had it. What you want(and me too) is a 97 T-bird with a dohc engine with a blower bolted on. Hmmm... That would be a sweet cruiser(got to have a sunroof though).

Yeah, nice and quiet and comfy with a auto tranny, but power to blow assholes to the wayside. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif

I know a cop who has a '95(?) Crown Vic with a blown & tweaked 4.6L. It has about $8000 worth of mods, and from what I hear, it's a PHAT ride. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif

Oh, Mercury's gonna have you covered in a couple years, Sky. Remember the Marauder concept? THAT'S gonna be sweet!

Ohhh...I just had an even wilder idea.....a built WRX engine in my beat up raggedy looking 86 Suburu hatchback......1400lb 4wd car with 400hp would be scary to say the least....

smooth 03-16-2001 02:24 AM

seems like such a waste to dump a powerful setup into a heavy truck.

btw 80s rangers look pretty beat up as well http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/wink.gif and they can be dropped wayy down on the raceweight and actually have a decent chance of hooking up on anything resembling a street suspension. now a big f-150 on the otherhand,...

True, true.....a nice 4 link suspension will help in the traction department(and handling).
