could you guys help me find out what what kind of:
rear diff oil trans oil (manual) motor oil 20/50? i dont have the owners maual, and i'm working the car right now any help would be great. |
This is what I would do.... someone might have a different opinion though...
I would use a synthetic rear end oil (75W-something) with a tube of chatter additive. Any kind of ATF will work. I use Dextron/Micron III or IV. 10W-30 (10W-40 for racing). |

Sure Boss..Haynes 1994 -1999 All Mustang recommends.. rear diff oil >>>>>>>>>>>> SAE 80W-90 GL-5 Gear Lubricant... Trak-lok axles add 4 oz friction modifier. trans oil (manual) >>>>> MERCON.. motor oil 20/50?>>SAE Ranges from 5W-30 for cold weather (below -20 degrees) and increases incrementally for warmer climates...Gage weight for your area...Keep Secondary viscosity at 30. Radiator uses an ethylene glycol based antifreez mixture. Note the color and try not to mix with a propylene glycol based anti- freeze.... HAPPY MAINTENANCE! i dont have the owners maual, and i'm working the car right now any help would be great.>>>>> Hope it's timely...LOL Get that Manual next time you go to get your lubricants....LOL ~Jenn~ __________________ |
