Thumbs down I thought this sh1t was for ricers!

I was on my way home from work and i saw a sweet new black 00 stang parked outside of a building. As i passed inoticed something on the window and double taked. I had to go back to make sure it was what i thought it was and sure enough as i passed it again i saw a sticker on the rear quarter window that said "POWERED BY FORD". But FORD is writen in Japanese characters. The ricers are getting a hold of the younger domestic croud now. We have to stop them! How far has this spread? Has any one alse seen this crap on a mustang? Light Em Up!!!

Well, the japanese lettering would seem out of place, unless maybe the owner is japanese, and it means something to him. However, Ford used to install valve covers that had 'Powered by Ford' stamped in them. So that would not be entirely out of place on a Mustang.

I've seen this on a lot of new mustangs lately. And it would'nt be bad if it were in english. It's just that these are not asians driving these and the letering is in japanese like what is seen on the windows of rice-mobiles. Light Em Up!!

For real.

I'm gonna go retro and get "Powered by Ford" in vinyl decals, only it'll be in Russian or something. Hehehehehe.

SpeedVision covered an Import show somewhere in the States last week.

In it, they interviewed some 16 year old in aheavily modded 2001 GT 'Vert.
(I figured out too how they can afford it. Parents buy the car, they pay for mods)

This 'Stang did't even look like a Stang anymore. Resembled a Prelude on steroids.

Do what you can to be noticed i guess.

So then,
what you guys are saying is that if there is any type of lettering/words on a Mustang that are not English, that makes the person a "ricer" and the car a "ricemobile?"

Easy SKYMAN - sometimes 'Stang are powered by a tad more than what Ford gave us at the dealership..
I like powered by "Vortech" or "NOS" stickers :-)

We've got those valve covers (powered by ford) on many of our old FE engines. My brother has a '76 F-250 High Boy with 9" of lift, 44" tires, and a 390 FE with chrome powered by ford valve covers. I think from the vintage standpoint they look sweet. Also my brother had an '84 GT with the crinkled aluminum powered by ford valve covers and I thought they looked good too (these were some of the sweetest valve covers from the factory).

I saw a 2K red Stang with a two foot high spoiler on the way home from work today. Talk about a double look!! Cobra R posers are next.

I agree with 88GT5.013.20 (that takes too long to type!) The old powered by ford valve covers look good on the older stuff.
Those old FE's though, gosh they're a pain!
