I topped myself this year.......
 

once again the World Ford Challenge has come and gone :( but it didnt come through unscathed. some of you might remember me wearing a HUGE afro last year, well this year was the birth of a purple velvet pimp suit and (for and all) and Swill Racings blow up sheep (Thanks Scott) needless to say Dr. Jamie Meyer ate up the whole suit/sheep get up as well as these 4 mod motor crew members now known as the Mad Hatters. pics are coming soon.

for those of you that werent able to attend, you missed a really great time. burnouts were only done on thursday nite thatks to local law enforcement ( what exactly is so "illegal" about burning yer tires off?) the weather was a little bit trying at times(rain), racing was fast, one on the hi-points of the weekend was sat nites party turned maylay when we started racing go-peds, quads, pit bikes, golf carts down the track. and if that wasnt enough a few racers that shall remain nameless took it upon themselves to bust out and have the first official Mobil 1 Motorhome Challenge (you read that right, 45ft motorhomes rollin on down the track!) only low points this weekend besides the weather were 5 or 6 cars crashed, on being Chip Haveman, but all racers are ok.

my advise to anyone that hasnt experienced this event yet, do whatever it takes to get yerself there. its something youll never forget.

just thought id share some details from the weekend.

yep, the plan is to be in all the stang mags as well as the WFC video. we had cars in like 6 classes so it WILL pop up on there somewhere.

nope, all i did was my usual crew chief duties (get the cars/trucks through the burnout, keep the cars out of the "bald" spots, and stage the cars).

only thing i did do though was drive in the Wild Street cruise with the suit on, and let me tell you, the St. Louis natives werent real sure how to react to it either. no matter what it was all in good fun.

You got guts, dude. Hey check out how that guy is staring at you in that closer pic. :D You should go for a fluorescent green, yellow or orange, next time. You'll stand out better. Later. :)

the suit is getting retired upon the completion of the '03 NMRA season. as for WFC7, you can count on something even more outrageous! i promise you that!

BTW, keep your eyes open in maple grove in june(i think there will be just a "few" more sheep in attendence!)
