I was in second grade when "frozen cokes" first came out. Who would have known that 7-11 was going to make billions on their version (Slurpie). These were the days when station wagons all had fold down seats for the kids by the tailgate, and you got a car at every gas station when your parents spent $8 and filled the 20 gallon tank. Back seats could fit 3 adults, comfortably, and the trunks could fit a Mexican family of 8. The Brook Theater, an old vaudeville theater in N.J., charged 99 cents to see the new movies. The seat on my first two Schwinn bikes was two-tone. I've still got hundreds of LP's, and dozens of 45's. How funny.
This is a dangerous thread. I find myself remembering things I haven't thought about in over 30 years.
Take care,
~Chris
