I'll probably give away my age but here's a list of my past extremeties.
454/400 in a '78 Chevette. Camaro subs and a narrowed 9" Ford rearend. Full flip nose and 6 point roll cage.
'80 Plymouth Arrow, 318 automatic. Volare subs with no inner front fender wells to clear the headers.
'72 Mercury Capri, 351 Cleveland, C6 tranny. '75 Mustang II subs and 4 point roll cage. Rear seat left out to accommodate aluminum tubs and fuel cell.
'71 Vega, '65 327/350, Nova subs and a 12 bolt Chevelle rearend.
My favorite was the '85 Mazda RX7 with the '85 Buick GN drive train.
Crazy and scary were every one of these. All were street legal and the slowest was the RX7, an 11 second car.
