sad thing is that those modifications probably cost way more than the van did. That guy must have gotten bored one day or something...

i found a webiste a while ago that had a bunch of pictures of cars like that....apparently it's quite popular in japan. they have cars with from air dams that stick out no less than 5 whole feet, then they have these crazy 10 foot long upward bent slashcut exhaust pipes and crazy color schemes.....

I blame Anime. or japanimation, or whatever you want to call it. im trying to put together a theory on ricers....so far i've got two things:

1. it's the anime

2. in the 70's, there were gangs in Japan called "Bosozoku". they had customized cars similar to american lowriders, but with very loud horns and super loud exhaust pipes. two gangs would meet, and go for one of their "drives". the majority of the gangs were on motorcycles, and the cars would block off intersections so the bikes could race through. the cars would use their loud noise and crazy styling to intimidate other drivers and take over the road. that is where fart pipes and lips/spoilers etc. came from.

just a thought

Question

What the?

I can make out Pikachu>Raichu, Bulbasaur>Ivysaur>Venasaur, and Cubone>Marowak for sure!

Hehe, it helps when you have 4 nieces under the age of 8!

Still, as a side note, why???? Why would somebody do that? What could possibly possess them to lose their mind that much? Maybe it's a Japanese Ice Cream Man.:P God I hope so!
