It's me again Margaret!
I know, some of you are gonna say. . .well, I can't repeat such things in mixed company but siffice to say, I'm back again. I hope there are at least a couple of you that remember me but if not, I shall recall the years as being unkind and leave it at that.
THings have changed on the board since last I was here. Actually, I've dropped in a few times but never had time to write anything but I'm on a mission now and here I is. The kids are gone and Dad's finally started on HIS Mustang. Ther Green thing has found a home in the yard. . left for a new Jeep Wrangler and rocks that need climbing. The blue 89GT that belongs to my oldest son sits quietly nest to the Green thing, waiting for it's owner to return from Iraq. It's finally getting those AFRs next month. (guess who gets to put em on?) Combat pay helps a lot. and I'm getting to build my car now. It's not much but it's started. I have all the machine work done save for the cam bearings. Right now I'm deburring the block and polishing the lifter galley. If this works, there should be a picture or two included with this thing. No, I don't even have a car for it yet but it'll be a Fox body coupe. Here's what I've got so far for the engine. Probe forged pistons, flat tops with a 13cc dish milled into them. ,030 over. Comp Cams roller cam and retro-fit kit, not too big, .566 lift @224deg duration (@.050) Manley valves. . all new 3 angle valve job on 4 bbl heads, new bronze guides, no springs yet. Still trying to see if Comp cams makes a beehive spring for this thing. Edelbrock Performer intake. Crank , billet flywheel Rods go in tomorrow. I hope to finish this by March. I want to take it to San Diego when the boy comes home. Hopefully, Qualcom will have the night races back by then.

Nope. . .it's me allright. That opening line is from an old Ray Stevens song. I've been in hibernation for a while but after starting my own project, I figured I'd better get back on here. There's lots of stuff I don't have a clue on and there's way more brains in here than they are in my garage.

Great! I had a blast there back in July. I think it was the last night for the races till something got squared away with the grant writers. Anyway, lots of rice but I did get to see a new white Mach 1 eat a Viper. I really hope to be ready to take mine there in March or April. Not just for that but just for the drive out. We have a visit planned and Maw already said she's flying if I'm driving something that small. That Avalanche got her spoiled.

Wow....
Good to see you back, MEDIK. It's definately been a while. Of course, this is the first time I've been on the forums in a couple of months. Very busy. Anyway, good to see you again, and best of luck with your car. --nathan
