I've been here for about 2 1/2 years now....There are a ton of new faces, and there are still some of the long time members around too. I really haven't noticed a change in peoples' attitudes or noticed the amount of "losers" increasing here, either. There have been a few idiots, but they've always come and gone.
And second of all, I don't understand why you have to make such a big deal out of not liking people here and that this site has "gone to ****" and people here "aren't worth it." If you don't like the people here, then don't come to the site. Why is it necessary for Dan to delete your account? Would it have been that hard to just not come back to the site if you hate it so much? If you wanted your account deleted just so you could say you're NOT a member, couldn't you have just PM'd Dan? The past few months, or however long it's been since you went on your little hiatus, the only thing I've seen you post is when you jump on someone's *** and call them an idiot or something similar. Maybe not directly, but you get around to it. Maybe I just don't catch enough of your posts, maybe you're more helpful (and a little less of a dick) in areas I don't read as much. But either way, it's not gonna bother me any if you leave. The only negative attitude I've noticed is yours. All us losers will leave you alone now. I just bothered reading what everyone else had to say here and for the most part I think you, unit, have just said what everyone else was already thinking. I won't go as far as to say i agree with you on everything but that is life and I know everyone has their own opinion. Some such as yourself just have the balls to voice them and I respect that in a big way. Best of luck to you in all of life man.

I have to agree with 6T9PONY on his points.
It seems Unit, that you have not been connecting with people in threads lately. Always going against everyone is not very productive. Saying this does not mean you do not have any vaild points. Only that you end up engaging in personal attacks, from a reply on a thread. My opinion of you Unit is my opinion. Our last head to head was counter productive, so [I] stopped, but you could not. Quiting is never the answer, never. People are of all shapes, sizes and mental capacities. I and others do not fault anyone for operating at the best they can. Some of us are idiots and "Losers" but if thats the best [I] can be, why put me down? You leaving only narrows the diversity of this site. I do not wish to lock horns with you, but some always will, when called out. Can you blame them? You just did it. I come here to be a part of something. You've been complaining about people bashing the guy that went off roading with his Mustang, and about people jumping the guy that put the puke yellow swivle chairs in his low-rider, putting down the old timers here, etc, so what? Lighten up. It's like no one can even post their opinions anymore. Isn't that what a message board is for (especially BOL)? You've got your panties in a bunch over things that really mean nothing to you or me. We're are all here just BS-ing about stuff people do. I think that you and others (belle) take things way too seriously. I mean, come on. I'm a father, a husband, a partner in a CPA firm...I've got so many more things that are much more important than this board - just as I'm sure you do. I guess what I'm saying is that you shouldn't take this board so seriously. It's just a website - it's not life or death. Back to the off-roading Mustang...I personally commented that the guy was a toolbox and needed a Jeep not a Mustang. Then someone jumps up and is like "quit bashing him, it's his Mustang, let him do what he wants with it!" Well of course it's his Mustang and of course he can do what ever he wants with it. We were just having some fun with the pic. If we're going to have this "it's his car and he can do what he wants with it", then why do we even post anymore? Why was the RHC club started? Kell, you've brought some great technical advice to these boards, lively discussions, interesting view points, etc. We don't always agree, but so what? The world isn't perfect. As for the 'losers' and not worth the time anymore...people come and go. I've seen it for over 3 years now. We always get the idiot passer-by that lingers for a month and then never comes back. Who cares? It's the way it is on a website message board. You and belle and whoever else feels that the board has gone down hill can leave. I'm sick of these public "I hate this board, you're all a bunch of losers, delete my account" crap. It really shows how much growing up you still have to do. Here's an idea, relax a little. Unit - It's sad to see you go, but I'm not sure what you are complaining about. Sure, there are some idiots that come on, but myself I just don't bother to waste time reading or responding to their posts. To leave because of those people just detracts more from the site. It's like saying you are going to commit suicide because there are a lot of idiots in the world. There are plenty of quality people on here that have a genuine interest in learning about their 'Stangs or in helping others with their knowledge, so I say just focus on the good ones and ignore the idiots.

I guess I just have to say that I hate to see you go. I always hate to see the long-time members leave, and in my 5+ years, I've seen a lot of that. Sure, I've had my disagreements with you, although they have been few and far between for the most part, because I rarely let it bother me enough that I felt the need to reply. While we're all being honest, I will have to say that I never have liked how you always seem to jump on people and start name-calling when they have a different opinion than yours, and I'm sure that you have some stuff you never liked about me. Oh well. I'll say it now, you've really pissed me off in the past. But guess what. I'm still here. Sure, I was mad for a couple of minutes, but then I think to myself, "What do I really care if KELL pisses me off?" That's not the end of my world. Guess what, man. People will always have different opinions than you. And some of those people will be able to argue their points better than you ever will be able to. So what? If you think you should have made the list, and I left you out, you probably were supposed to, and it just didn't come to me instantly. For those I think are destroying the boards, hope other people with more patience are willing to wait it out till we get some fresh or returning quality members returning to the site. This giantly ticked off, and as all to often with me being ticked off short original post has nothing to do with the technology or advancement of the board. There is one particular person I'd be happy to single out as being one of the biggest losers on this board. A moderator by the screen name of Eric4Nitrous. I know you're glad to see me leave. There are few who would actually stand up to you and tell you I don't care how fast your car goes if you don't know what you're babbling about. Especially when you're of moderator status. Guess what? I did, and I didn't care what you had to say because you didn't know anything. Your standard rebuttle is "Let's race" as if to say your car dictates the man or intellegence level you have. You're unfit to be a moderator, and I found your whining infintile nobody likes me so I'm going to leave thread to be ridiculous. You signed up for the job of moderator, and you owe it to the people here to stick to it, and do a good job. I've stuck it out on this board for a long time. I've had threads where I've said I'm leaving. Usually get dragged back in on some topics where blatent garbage has been spewed, and has gone unchecked. To the people thinking I've been on edge and quick to rip new ones lately, you're right. The almost sole reason I've been posting is when I see crap I think is total BS (usually get linked). I've avoided other threads. The birthdays, the cool stuff, etc. I come across as full of piss and vinegar moreso than I am in this way. As aggressive as I am, usually it's to bash my opponents position quickly. Usually, I'm the first one somehow insulted. Just not the to extent I reply. As I've left and been sucked back in repeatedly in the past, the deletion of the Unit 5302 screen name (if even possible) would at least provide an end to the thread linking I'm always getting, and thus the need to post here. Again to those who assumed I meant EVERYBODY, I apologize. I can certainly see how my original post could have inspired that. I don't. It's a minority of members, just they make a lot of noise, and as such, it's a majority of attitude. Kinda like the over 70 group and politics. |

What the hell are you talking about? I just came here a few months ago and still haven't posted much. I asked a few questions about my LX and people answered them fully and completely and welcomed me in. I didn't sense and gamg attitude, and it didnt turn me away.
EVEN when I told them I was trying to sell my 1990 LX in order to buy a Suzuki Samurai they still didn't give me any gang attitude. Sure they told me I was making a mistake but why wouldn't they. They're Mustang enthusiasts, and I told them I'm buying a vehicle that, In their minds, is quite a pos. By the way, Im loving my Samurai, but its still fun to drive the LX every once in a while. Even though the powersteering whines in the LX, its nonexistant in the Samurai, lol. And the ride and power is much better in the LX. Heh heh, Imagine that, a mustang LX is faster than something :D . I even got my tires to squeak going into second gear! :p |

Kell, I used to think of you as a close friend. I was really surprised when I returned to MW after being gone for 13-14 months, a year ago last June. You had changed. You became very full of yourself, and it got pretty old, pretty quick. I'm happy for you every time I read someone compliment you for "speaking your mind". It's just too bad that your mind is so egotistical. I speak my mind all the time, I just try not to be as big an assshole as you.
In any case, I look forward to your absence (that alone ought to get you to stay indefinately). I know you haven't liked me for quite some time now, even though I'm not entirely sure why. I was still surprised to hear that you considered me one of the top five people that "ruined" Mustang Works. I was very surprised to find out that you were going as far as to tell other members that, too. I'm sorry that you feel that way, Kell. 70% of the reason I come here is to help out others, and 30% is to see close friends. I guess you'd feel better if I just belittled everyone like you do. Well, I'm sorry, but I outgrew that stage about 20 years ago. I would love it if you would grow the balls to tell me directly how it is that I ruined MW, rather than tell that to others behind my back. it's interesting to see the real jerks come out of the woodwork on the site in this thread. those of you who are flaming Unit for making his feelings public in this thread are doing the same thing you are ACCUSING Unit of doing.....whining like a 4 year old.
i've known Unit for awhile now and whether it be in here or through instant messaging he's always been polite, informative, and spoke his mind and actually seemed like he cared about my question and answered it to the best of his knowledge without having an "ok, i've answered your stupid question now go away" attitude that i've felt from some of the others on here before. for those that don't like Unit starting the thread, take a flying leap. you don't like it? don't post in it stupid. let him to talk in his little thread all by himself. if you wanna post and support him in his descision but don't want to see him go, then let him know like some of the few credible members in this thread have and be polite. don't show your true colors and say "good ridence...blah blah....don't let the door hit you on your way out......(moan).....blah blah blah". be polite or don't give him a reason to come back and have to explain himself further. this thread is 3 times as long as it should be from all you other whiners telling him to shut up and go. again, if you think it's a pointless thread and a poor choice of comments he made to start the thread, WHY PARTICIPATE!!! and as far as him getting a big head pkrwud; look in the mirror once eh? |
This thread wouldn't be complete without a post from me. I see everything from an entirely different perspective as I am the only consistant non-mustang enthusiast that has been around as long as I have. I think that in general, the site has been taking a slide. The fact that established members who have been here for 2 years are even mentioning a slide should be looked at by all who are concerned. I know that it is their "job" to try to make the site look good, but they can't even deny the problems that have been going on.....the constant bash sessions, personal attacks between members, etc, etc. Certain people can get away with things because they are in a position of power, but when someone comments against them, they are automatically wrong. Also, anyone who is in the "inner circle" of MWers also get away with certain things. It seems that the only reason why Kell is being made out to be the bad guy by a few members is because he is going against what the "inner circle" members feel is right. I know Kell can be an ***, and me and him argue all the time, but he shouldn't automatically be singled out by a select few.

Whats up with this "inner circle" and "gang" I keep hearing about? As everyone here knows, I've been here for a while, but I have yet to see this "inner circle" or "gang" among us.
AS I stated before, I had no beef with unit, always held him with high regards. But I do think posting about him leaving because of jack a.. ppl, then naming them, was a little low. He should have left it like belle, who posted in the feedback fourm, and just said they were leaving for personal reasons. |

Unit, I admire your "shoot from the hip attitude". That's the way I prefer to hear it but there is a fine line between "shooting from the hips" and just saying things that are plain, outright wrong! I don't disagree for one moment that you know alot(as far as mustangs go atleast) but to have yourself and your bed buddy, Tod , start knocking Pkrwud , I just can't sit back and say nothing. I was completely neutral until I heard that crap. I was surprised to see that you didn't mention Pkrwud in the "people you admire most" list. There isn't a person on this board that can honestly say he is detrimental to this board. Believe it or not, I've actually seem posts on other mustang boards referring people to PKRWUD for answers. Your major problem is that you seem to have superiority complex and from a physiological viewpoint, people with that mentality usually know NOTHING!! Unit - you may be outta here, and if that is what you desire, then I certainly won't stop you. However, you were wrong to make a glaring post bashing the site and 20,000+ members that aren't on your "buddy list". There's a lot more people here than that, and although I'd certainly agree we have a few rough (or even bad) apples that like to wear on our rules or the forum's quality, I don't think your small list of members are all that makes Mustang Works what it is. People constantly come and go from here. Some old members go, some new members come, and some do both over time - but, that's the way it is on EVERY community based site.
Honestly, I think a few people just left because they just couldn't live without a glaring POSTCOUNT in everyone's face. Ohh well... If that's all they think makes our forums, they didn't belong here any ways I guess. I personally have nothing against you Kell, but when you bash the site I've busted my butt to run and spent a small fortune on, not to mention everyone here not on your "A" list, I can't help but feel a little irritated. :mad: To everyone else, who jumped right into the flamefest, that's not what this site is about.
